For the past 25 years, the Cypress Dome Society has supported the literary and visual arts on UCF’s campus with professional development for English, Creative Writing, and Visual Arts majors and minors, as well as opportunities for students across the university to submit their work for possible publication and to attend and participate in literary readings, open mic nights, and other events.
Our CD alumni have a strong record of publishing their work after graduation, going to graduate school, and/or entering careers in editing and English teaching. In other words, they frequently continue to share a life-long passion for reading, writing, and the visual arts.
We believe—and our many successful alumni attest—to the vitality and importance of the literary arts at the University of Central Florida. Even a modest donation can help support our activities, including printing of the Cypress Dome literary magazine, bringing visiting authors to campus, and organizing and publicizing all our other special events. We can’t tell you how much this could mean to us in a time of shrinking budgets.
If you wish to donate, you can do so online through the UCF Foundation website. Be sure to follow these steps to ensure the donation comes to the Cypress Dome Society:
Under “Donation Information,” in the Designation drop down menu, scroll to the bottom and select Other.
Type in Cypress Dome Society in the space that pops up titled Other.
You may also donate by check. Please make checks payable to UCF Foundation, Inc., note “Cypress Dome Society” on the memo line, and mail to:
